Sunday night our church experienced an incredible time of worship through music, prayer, and communion. Brit Jones and Stacy Jackson led and introduced some new music. Several who attended commented about what a powerful evening it was. New to this event was the opportunity to gather in groups of four or five and pray together for our church and our city.

We can’t reach all of Jacksonville on our own. We need help. So, it’s great news that a group of people in Julington Creek are rallying to create environments very much like Access Church—where those who feel disconnected from traditional church can ask questions about relating to God.
However, it is with mixed emotions that we announce Adam & Kristen Flynt will be leading this new church. Adam & Kristen have led the family ministry at Access Church for the past four years, and become dear friends and colleagues. We are sad to see them go.
God has clearly been preparing the Flynt family for this next step. They are well-gifted in leadership and Adam, who will be the lead pastor and primary communicator at The Crossing Church, is a strong teacher.
We love the Flynts and hate to see them go. At the same time, we’re excited for the Flynts, for Julington Creek, and for Access Church. We now have one more church partnering with us to reach the thousands in North Florida who have yet to discover a personal relationship with Jesus Christ!… Read the restPosted May 17, 2011
We want to be respected for our great intellects, pursued for our great abilities, or perhaps admired for our great looks. But when asked, “Who’s great?” few of us would point to people who are merely great at something. Intuitively we know that true greatness goes beyond skill, talent, intellect, or looks.
So what is it? In this four-part series, Andy Stanley and Clay Scroggins will take us on a journey through the Bible in search of answers to the questions, “What does it mean to be great?” and “Who is a candidate for greatness?”
In the end, you will discover that greatness is always a choice. A choice you have the opportunity to make every day.
Join us this Sunday, May 8, for the kick-off of this series. See you at Access Church!… Read the restPosted May 3, 2011
