Stephanie and Rich are both originally from South Florida and love having the opportunity to lead other families to know God personally. God has richly blessed Rich and Stephanie with deep, authentic friendships and four children. Their family can usually be found near a body of water enjoying sailing, waterskiing, swimming, and building sand castles. Aaron Ellinger is originally from the Midwest, but Jacksonville has been his home since 2010. After making Access his church home, he began serving in UpStreet by leading music and drama. He has a passion for identifying and encouraging leadership in Community Groups. His desire to see every individual find their place in group life at Access makes him a natural fit for his role as group life director. Aaron’s three children, Jenna, Lauren, and Caleb, are also involved in strategic service at Access Church. Read more.
Stephanie has been connecting people to God and each other for years at Access. The thoughtful attention to details is what she is known for. She is motivated by making sure every guest is cared for from the moment they pull in the parking lot until they leave the service. Stephanie and her husband, Rich, have four children. When she is not busy caring for her family, she enjoys writing, reading, spending time on the beach, and encouraging the women in her community.
Student Ministry Director
Justin Smith and his wife Jasmine, are passionate about helping teenagers through this critical time of life. They understand the importance of building relationships and investing in the lives of students. As Student Ministry Director, Justin is committed to creating a safe and encouraging atmosphere where students can invite their friends and grow in their faith. Justin and his wife have two children, Mae and Malachi. They are excited to be part of Student Ministry because they have experienced how powerful small group connections can be.
UpStreet Small Groups
Kelli grew up in Miami and lived in central Florida before moving to Jacksonville to attend the University of North Florida. She graduated in the spring of 2007 and started attending Access that August. She volunteered with 1- and 4-year-olds before landing in UpStreet as a coach. She found her passion in UpStreet and joined our staff as the director of UpStreet small groups in 2011. Kelli loves to see kids “get” the fact that God loves them and has a plan for their lives. Hal is passionate about teaching God’s word in a fun and fresh way. Hal, Hope, and their children, Justine and Joe, have been part of the Access family since they were invited by a neighbor in 2009. The Henry family has been part of serving in UpStreet for several years because they believe their service will result in changed lives among the children attending Access. Hal is responsible for the large-group environments that assist small-group leaders. His goal is to make sure that first-time and regular attenders can encounter Jesus in a new and exciting way.
Sarah visited Access for the first time in 2007 when her husband, Darin, was asked to play guitar. Since that day the Peckhams have become an important part of the Access family. Sarah knew right away that she wanted to be part of what God was doing through Access. She began volunteering in the Leadership Room, making sure kids had a great time on Sunday morning while their parents served in other areas, and she joined our staff in 2017. Read more.
Kevin is skilled with lights, sound, and video, but even better, he’s a great guy to work with. Kevin holds degrees from Cedarville University and Trinity International University, with a strong background in media. Originally from Ohio, Kevin moved to Jacksonville to help launch Access Church and practice living “open-handed.” Kevin and his wife, Ashley, are the proud parents of Brooks and Finley. Read more.
Darin is a Florida native from Port Orange who moved to Jacksonville after receiving a scholarship to attend the music program at the University of North Florida. Since then, Darin has been deeply rooted in the Jacksonville music scene. Darin works closely with the worship leaders, musicians, and creative and production teams that create the adult worship environments at Access Church. Darin is married to Sarah and is the proud father of Ruby. Read more.
Administration & Stewardship
After 20 years as an executive with the world’s largest global provider dedicated to banking and payments technologies, Ronda felt called to bring her business expertise and CPA training to Access Church. Joining our staff full time in 2016, Ronda helps our leadership make the most of the resources God gives us and helps Access attenders understand how their financial stewardship is part of their spiritual growth. Ronda loves her UpStreet small group, and those kids love her back! She recharges her batteries by being part of her Community Group, spending time with her dog, running, and playing tennis. Troy Youse accepted the position of Facilities Director in 2015. Troy is passionate about making sure the Access environment leaves a wonderful first impression. He enjoys leading a team of individuals who share a goal of eliminating distractions and creating an environment that allows people to truly focus on God. Zach Mengel joined the Access Church staff in the summer of 2016, working with Waumba Land, UpStreet, and InsideOut, and assisting Rich Barrett. Zach is a student at Florida State University in Tallahassee. When he returns to Access during his summer breaks, he focuses on Camp 95, a summer environment for kids meeting in host homes throughout the community. He loves working with kids, leading them to connect with God and plug into church. Read more.
